Information we collect

We collect the information you enter in the quote funnel: property type, estimated property value, province, claims history, current insurer, your name, email address and mobile number. We also collect standard analytics data such as pages viewed and referring source through Google Tag Manager.

How we use it

Your details are used solely to obtain and deliver insurance quotes on your behalf, to contact you about those quotes, and to improve the service. We do not sell your information to unrelated marketing lists.

Who we share it with

We share quote details with authorised insurers, brokers and our lead-delivery partner so that they can prepare a quote for you. Each of these parties is required to handle your information in line with POPIA.

Retention and your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing hello@homecover.co.za. Quote records are retained for up to 36 months for regulatory and audit purposes unless you request earlier deletion.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 cookies to measure site usage and conversion performance. You can block these through your browser settings without losing access to the quote funnel.
